Information:
Mateus's element is Ice, but he (yes Mateus is a guy despite his appearance) can also use physical attacks and restore his summoner's HP. He is however weak against Lightning attacks so make sure your character supports him with healing Magick or items.

Battle Tactics:

Mateus is supported by five Ice Azers so aim to remove them first. Once they are gone, just keep on attacking him with physical attacks (good to have someone with a Storm Spear equipped). His Blizzaja attack and be devastating, causing heavey damage and infliciting Sap at the same time so whenever in the Information Box that he is about to use it, heal all your party members as much as possible to keep yourself safe.
