As the official release of Heavensward, Final Fantasy XIV's first expansion since relaunch, draws ever closer we have information on how to get Early Access all ready before that starts on the 19th June.
Now there are a few requirements before you get started;

With the release of Heavensward looming ever closer, Square Enix has released a few videos showing off some new bits and bobs.
First up with have the theme for Heavensward composed by Nobuo Uematsu;
Next up is a trailer showcasing new job actions;
And finally (though I have not embedded), is footage of the new dungeons coming in Heavensward;
At the presentation today we got a recap on all the information announced at the London/Tokyo Fan Fests but also a couple of interesting tibits.
First up is the confirmation of a MAC edition which will be released the same time as Heavensward.
Next up is the release date, although slightly later then originally announced it will be coming to PC, PS3/4, and MAC on the 23rd June 2015 with early access starting the 19th June 2015.

Today at PAX East, Final Fantasy XIV Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida will be hosting an hour-long panel talking about the upcoming first expansion Heavensward.
So keep your times booked for 17:00 (GMT) / 12:00 p.m. (EST) / 9:00 a.m. (PST)!

With all the teasing at Las Vegas, Yoshi-P has finally confirmed that one of the new jobs is Dark Knight, will have no base class (what exactly this will entail for the entire game is yet to be seen), and will be a tank job.

Yesterday at the Fan Festival in Las Vegas, Square Enix has revealed the first expansion since the relaunch called Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward and is due out Spring 2015.
Since there are two more events to go (London and Tokyo), not much information was revealed but what was confirmed is that there will be:

Well it has now officially been one year since the succesful relaunch of Final Fantasy XIV
To celebrate, Square Enix is holding a good number of events both within the game and out including the return of the cross over events from Lightning Returns, Final Fantasy XI, and Dragon Quest X as well as Tales from the Calamity offering lore about the events played out during the original release of the game (also referred to as 1.0).

With not long to go until the start of another year at Gamescom in Germany, Square Enix has revealed their lineup although it is pretty lacking.
However there are two Final Fantasy games, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call.
Of course there may (and that is a big may!) be more news at Sony's Press Conference on the 11th August so I will keep you posted with any information released.
During the Letter from the Producer Live today, Yoshida revealed that there will be a new class (Rogue) and a new job (Ninja) to be added in Patch 2.4 with more to be added in the expansion.
The team behind Final Fantasy XIV has released a battle heavey trailer with a little sneak preview of upcoming Primals Ramuh and Shiva.
